Sample case - for demonstration

Aura Coffee (fictional) / Brand & Communication

Rebuilding a café brand into a city ritual

A specialty café chain with great product and no recognizable identity gets a brand system built for daily use.

01

The problem

Aura ran three locations with strong coffee and weak recognition: each café looked different, social media borrowed a new style every month, and price pressure from bigger chains was growing. The founders needed the brand - not discounts - to carry the difference.

02

The opportunity

Specialty coffee customers in the city repeat the same behavior daily. A brand built around ritual - not around 'premium' clichés - could own that repetition and make Aura the default choice on someone's route.

03

The system

One positioning ('your daily setpoint'), a compact identity system: wordmark, a two-color palette per location, packaging and cup system, signage rules and a social format kit the in-house barista team could publish without a designer.

04

The work

Identity design, packaging and in-store applications, a 12-format social kit, and a one-day training for staff who publish content. Everything shipped as a production-ready asset pack with usage rules.

Learning forward

The format kit mattered more than the logo: once the team could produce on-brand content alone, consistency stopped depending on discipline and started depending on tooling.

This is a fictional sample case created by mrkflow to demonstrate its case-study format. Any resemblance to a real company is coincidental. It will be replaced with approved client work before launch.
